My projects

Explore some of the projects I’ve delivered in the past, and learn how I’ve helped my clients gain vital understanding that’s changed the way they work.

As Wellbeing of Women’s 60th anniversary approached, they asked me to conduct an impact evaluation of their historical research portfolio – decades of progress reports from their funded researchers.

Using AI tools, bibliometric analyses and in-depth interviews, my findings transformed the charity’s ability to show the positive impact it has made on women’s lives.

Wellbeing of Women

Medicines Discovery Catapult

After the Medicines Discovery Catapult was appointed to steer the set-up of the government’s Dementia Mission: Neurodegeneration Initiative, I supported the team to map the scientific landscape of diagnostic technologies.

My analyses identified key researchers and companies working in the field, and helped to define possible scientific outcomes for the initiative, allowing the team to engage with potential industry partners.

Dunhill Medical Trust

Dunhill Medical Trust contracted me to identify projects focused on ageing within a publicly available dataset of health research grants in the UK.

Combining traditional search methods and innovative AI techniques, my work gave the Trust a valuable starting point for their strategic planning, helping them identify potential gaps and opportunities in the field.

Crohn's and Colitis UK

The team at Crohn's and Colitis UK hired me for a landscape analysis of the UK’s inflammatory bowel disease research field, to lay the groundwork for a strategic refresh of their research programme.

The results provided concrete data to underpin their strategy work, and revealed surprising new insights that changed their view of what the field needed.

The Health Foundation

Evidence produced by the Health Foundation’s research is crucial for influencing healthcare policy and practice, and core to its aims of bringing about better health for people in the UK.

I supported the team to explore how they could interrogate the data available in scientific databases to shed light on the impact of their work, and inform future funding decisions.
