A plain-English explanation of what this website tracks, what it does not, and what happens if you get in touch.
What this page covers
This notice explains how Magenti Methodologies Ltd handles personal data through magentimethodologies.com. It is deliberately narrow. This site does not run a complicated ad-tech stack or a maze of background tracking. In practice, it covers two things: website analytics, and information you choose to send when you contact me.
What this site tracks
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and how the site can be improved. Analytics is not loaded by default. It only loads if you choose Accept in the cookie banner.
If you opt in, Google Analytics may collect information such as page views, approximate location derived from IP address, referral source, browser and device type, and general interaction data about how the site is used.
This site is not set up with advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or a wider marketing-tracking stack. The purpose is simple: to understand how the website is performing, not to profile people for advertising.
The legal basis for analytics is your consent. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Cookies and browser storage
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may place analytics cookies in your browser, including cookies such as _ga and related Google Analytics cookies.
The site also stores your cookie choice in your browser so it can remember whether you accepted or declined analytics.
Google Analytics data for this website is retained for 2 months in the Google Analytics property. That setting relates to analytics data held in Google Analytics itself. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it, clear your browser storage, or use the Cookie settings link in the footer.
What happens if you contact me
If you email me directly, or use the contact form on this site, the website does not send that information to a backend run by Magenti Methodologies. The current contact form opens your own email client with a pre-filled message, so you can review it before you send anything.
If you do send an email, I will receive whatever you choose to include, typically things like your name, email address, organisation, and project details. I use that information to respond to your enquiry, work out whether there is a fit, and manage any follow-up conversation.
The legal basis for that processing is usually taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, together with my legitimate interests in handling enquiries and keeping business correspondence.
Third-party services and links
This website links out to third-party services including Calendly and LinkedIn. If you choose to follow those links or book through Calendly, your information will then be handled under those services' own terms and privacy notices rather than under this website alone.
Who receives the data
Analytics data is processed through Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. Email and calendar-related information may also be processed by the email and scheduling services you choose to use. I do not sell personal data collected through this website.
International transfers
Some of the service providers used in connection with this website operate internationally. That means personal data may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the relevant provider is responsible for applying its transfer safeguards and contractual protections.
How long information is kept
Google Analytics data is retained for 2 months. Enquiry emails and related business correspondence are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry, keep business records, and deal with any follow-up relationship that may result.
Your choices
You can accept or decline analytics in the banner, and you can reopen that choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also use your browser settings to clear cookies and local storage.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or to object to certain processing. If you have a question or want to exercise a right, contact jorge@magentimethodologies.com.
If you are unhappy with how your personal data is handled, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the site, analytics setup, or legal requirements. The latest version will always appear on this page.
